I’m new and trying to figure out how ftp affects rides in Zwift. I understand that it affects when you do official workouts since those can be based on ftp or percentages of ftp. But if you just log onto Zwift and ride does it affect the way Zwift works or is that strictly run by Watts?
Outside of workouts, its just your watts, weight and height that affect your ride.
Well that and your position relative to others if drafting or being drafted.
And if being really picky, your bike and wheelset selection though to a much lesser extent except when you try to ride a road bike on the Jungle Loop or an MTB pretty well anywhere else.
…or the Safety Bike anywhere!
