Hey Team, especially when you’re running a seasonal challenge for the climb portals, can you do anything to help the maps?? Not even asking for scenery on the climb, over the block colors, this time. Thanks!
I raised the same issue recently and was told there’s no plans to do anything about it.
Any climb that goes off in a Westerly direction disappears off the map.
It is well known in gaming circles that the West is the great unknown… 
I can’t think of any reason they should spend time on this anyway… big deal… it goes out over the ocean… the climb portals change all the time…
In the Companion App, the ocean turns to darkness, dots indicating cyclists and your own icon disappear. You lose the option in the CA to tap your icon to give a ride-on.
Looks like it really is the end of the world…LOL
I appreciate there’s far more important things to sort but this could go on a long list.
Dan has put the main reason in that you can’t use CA to hand out ride ons as you can’t see your position.
Not a huge issue but would be nice.
As an American company they should be familiar with Manifest Destiny. It’s someone’s god’s will to spread westward and claim all lands for ourselves. /s

OSM would be nice if they cared but they clearly do not.
Meanwhile… when will companion be useful?
Give us an expanded gradient map ahead like … all bike computers offer.
And as Dan already mentioned, if off the map, we can’t even give ride-ons which is a ‘broken product’ on a technical level, if you can’t even do a primary feature of the product.

Time to paint it dark blue, so it can turn green and start to peel within a week.
