Fitness trend algorithm

Hello. If one rides often the algorithm is biased against you. Rest days are important. Your algorithm suggests rest days negatively impact performance. This could not be further from the truth. Be nice to people. It’s ok to rest.

to be fair, Strava’s fitness metric does the same thing… if you take a day off you lose multiple points

Agreed. So does riduck, etc. I have not found an algorithm that handles outlier data well. If you ride more than 15 hours per week then you are an outlier. Human coaches handle this well, computers not so much. Those who ride often know the value of rest and giggle at the idea that one is losing fitness. Our bodies and brains know the score if we choose to listen. All good. Ride on!
