As an active member of the Zwift community, I am writing to share three specific recommendations that I believe would significantly improve user engagement and the overall social experience on the platform. These additions would provide better incentives for long-term “grinding” and improve the functionality of group interactions.
I would like to propose the following features:
-
Level-Based Cosmetic Rewards: To make leveling up feel more rewarding, please consider adding unique cosmetic effects for bikes (such as specialized glows, trail effects, or unique finishes) that unlock once a rider reaches Level 5 and beyond. This would provide a tangible sense of achievement and a visual “status symbol” for players dedicated to the grind.
-
Consistent HUD for Training Plans: Currently, the heads-up display during structured training looks different than in “Free Ride” mode. Please add the option to see w/kg and average power as part of the 4 selected info metrics while a rider is in a training plan. Having consistent access to this data is incredibly useful for monitoring performance across all ride types.
-
Expanded Hand Signaling: To make group rides with friends more immersive and functional, please add two specific hand signals for the character:
-
The Elbow Flick: To signal the rider behind to take a turn at the front.
-
The “Pat on the Hip”: To signal riders behind to get ready, keep up, and follow closely.
-
I believe these community-focused updates would not only make the platform more fun for current users but would also help Zwift attract and retain more subscribers by deepening the social and competitive aspects of the game.
