# Extra 2 euros added to Swift Card-paid subs by French bank LCL

A small hint to all of you LCL bank customers in France who have subscribed to Zwift using their payment card (LCL Visa CB, that is) :

Even though the 14,99 amount is indeed in Euros already, LCL keeps applying a 2,00 Euros change fee on the basis (they told me) that Zwift, Inc. as a merchant site is based in the USA.

**As a result, you may notice a 16,99 Euros payment where you rightfully expected 14,99**  
It _seems_ to be specific to LCL and dates back to at least 2019 as testified by the only other trace of this issue I’ve found on another forum:

" _Depuis la hausse de tarif de Zwift, et afin justement d’éviter ces frais de change, j’ai décidé de changer de devise et de choisir le paiement en euros qui est à présent proposé par Zwift._  
_Surprise ! ma banque (LCL) me dit que cela ne change rien et me prélève donc depuis décembre dernier 2 euros de frais de commission en plus de mon abonnement de 14,99 euros_ "

The above exchange suggests a simple workaround consists in paying through Paypal; I’ll be happy to feedback whether it works or not… at the end of April 🙂

Je suis également au LCL et j’ai aussi 2 euros de commission portant mon abonnement à 16,99 euros.  
Pour le moi prochain j’ai modifié mon règlement de Carte Bleu vers un règlement via PayPal pour voir si la commission s"applique toujours…A suivre

Je peux à présent confirmer (deuxième mois d’abonnement) que ces 2euros de commission ont disparu au passage sur Paypal 🙂

Hello,  
Credit Agricole Ile de France prend aussi une commission, de 37 centimes.  
A titre de curiosité, il serait intéressant de savoir si des zwifters d’autres banques en France que le groupe Crédit Agricole ont ce genre de facturation.  
Je passe maintenant par Paypal.
