Zwift/Everesting should have a virtual jersey for Everesting achievements. Even better, the jersey should display the actual number of completions on it and automatically update every time you complete another Everesting challenge.
That would make the achievement feel even more special and instantly recognizable in the game. Imagine seeing riders with “1”, “5”, or even “20” Everestings on their jersey while riding Watopia. A true badge of honor for the climbing community.
The way things work now, I think the best option would be for everesting.com to ask for club kit, so they could assign it to anyone whose attempt is approved without involving Zwift. It would be up to them to work it out with Zwift (and up to Zwift to approve and create it in game). A suggestion on the forum probably will do nothing.
I took a swing at designing a vEveresting jersey for Zwift in another thread. It would be great to see Zwift add something like this for riders who unlock the Everesting badge and earn the 5,000 XP reward.
A single unlock jersey would be ideal for simplicity. With existing unlock jerseys for 100 km and 100 miles, a vEveresting jersey would fit nicely as a high-level achievement for dedicated Zwifters. It could serve as a true “halo jersey” that recognizes one of the platform’s most demanding accomplishments.
I’m also a bit surprised Zwift doesn’t have an official route for The Full Watopia Rebel Route. It seems like a natural fit for riders looking for a true endurance challenge beyond the existing route badges.
It would be great to see Zwift add it as an official route with a badge, XP reward, and a unique unlock jersey. If Zwift ever introduces a “halo jersey” concept for major achievements like vEveresting, The Full Watopia Rebel Route could make a strong second option.
Zwift already rewards distance milestones like 100 km and 100 miles with unlock jerseys. Adding a small number of jerseys tied to significant endurance accomplishments would give experienced riders additional long-term goals to pursue and create more recognition for some of the platform’s toughest challenges.
This wouldn’t be so meaningful, you could just wait for your friends to be on ADZ then you could join them and get up to 12 km free downhill every week.
This teleporting to friends for free distance downhill happens a lot.
But i don’t think freewheeling for minimum distance counts for weekly streak any longer. Well it certainly didn’t when I tried it two weeks ago. System used up one of my two streak savers and the three miles I did didn’t show on my weekly ZCA Fitness Trend.
Possibly a good recent change and one less thing for you to complain about ?
I am not 100% sure, but I think that walks and runs will still extend a streak, since the 500XP has been added to my Run XP total when my first activity of the week is a run.
