Error: Could not find required data files. Closing application now

Hi all. I am experiencing the issue mentioned in title on a brand new PC running windows 10, with multiple SSDs. I have tried everything from an earlier post on the forums, but nothing is working.

  1. verified all files are present
  2. installed on default location, launched, received error message, then uninstalled
  3. installed on secondary location, launched, received error message
  4. verified permissions on folder locations

The app launcher process was killed then executed directly from folder. I have opened a ticket with Zwift.

Also, I have Zwift running on an older Windows Surface Book with SSD (I do not think M2) without issue.

Any ideas or other troubleshooting tips would be appreciated.

When you say it’s a brand new PC, have you clean installed Windows 10 or does it have a load of bloatware rubbish on it?
