All - eventually I discovered that the issue was hardware: the main board was no longer modulating the resistance motor. Once Elite understood this they sent me a new main board in 2 days.
Again - this is for the original Elite Direto. When it powers up you hear an initiation noise from the resistance motor. If you are not hearing that then something is wrong.

Hello Mr. Barron. My issue is I am not getting the same resistance. Meaning no matter what I do the spinner is way to easy. I have tried every software solution possible but no luck. I have also been thinking it is the unit itself but have no way to prove this. Can you share with me the conversation with Elite that eventually got you to them sending a main board? How did you explain this to them so they could “understand” and then do something.
