Yes. But the auto-update does not update immediately. It periodically checks for updates. An update might be available for a day or two before your Apple TV does its auto-update. If you know there is an update, then you should manually update by checking for updates in the store.
Yes, I just now went to settings and found the “purchased apps” and learned that my Zwift app has been updated to the current version however I am still getting the error message. Others on the forum are saying it is now working for them. Uggg, any other thoughts?
You will not be charged. You do not need to delete and reinstall. Select the app in the store. Then there will be an “Update” option presented to you on the next screen. Select “Update”.
After the update, the “Update” option becomes “Open”.
Lin, when I checked earlier on purchased apps in settings, it said I had the updated version. I went to the app like you said and hit the update button which has not been there all day for some reason. It updated and now it works like it is supposed to. I have no earthly idea why it did not work before given the update occurred yesterday. Anyway, thanks to all that responded, muchly appreciated.
I’m running Zwift on a tv monitor hooked up to Apple 4K TV .I’m using wahoo,( kicker, climb, cadence, headwind, and heart rate monitor) it’s a constant effort to get all these devices connected to run zwift successfully. Today was the ultimate I went to sign into Zwift and it told me that my password was disconnected and wasn’t working and in spite of creating new password several times I still couldn’t connect to Zwift through Apple TV. I tried my wife’s email address and got the same thing. Apparently it’s a glitch with Apple TV and Zwift but has anyone else had this problem happened in the last day or so and have a solution ?I think my Apple TV updates automatically and apparently this is where the bug was created.
There were two updates over a very short period of time. The first one broke things. The second update which fixed things came out shortly thereafter, probably in less than 24hrs. Perhaps you checked in between the two updates.
I am in the habit of checking for updates manually if I hear about them or if something starts glitching or breaking. The auto-update is not instantaneous. It could take a day or so before the auto-update does its thing.
@Greg_Shouldice Manually check for an update via the App store.
Thanks so much I’ll go to the app I didn’t see an update this morning but it sounds like it will appear and I’ll update,
it thanks for your help,
Greg
Am still locked out and I have the updated version. Any other suggestions? Bloody frustrating…
Are you sure you have the latest update? Did you manually check the App store? What is the version number currently displaying?
Try uninstalling and reinstalling, it has helped other with the sameness issue.
Make sure you are on 1.0.34047.
If you are on that release and still having issues try uninstalling and reinstalling Zwift, you will not lose any XP or ingame equipment.
How do you fix this issue
yep, version 3047
Have you tried uninstalling and reinstalling?
I meant 34047
no, is that the final option. Ugh.
Manually update to the newest version in the ATV Store and/or uninstall and reinstall the new version.
You will not lose anything by uninstalling and reinstalling, all important data is stored on Zwift’s servers.
Did you force quit the app after the update (i.e., make sure it is completely closed out)?
Another option is to unplug the unit for a few minutes, then plug it back in.
