Does Withings Weight Synchronization Actually Work?

It’s great to see the Withings connection is back! However, although it initially connects and syncs weight to my profile, subsequent weigh-ins on the Withings scale do not sync. The only solution is to disconnect and reconnect, which is obviously more trouble than manually recording the weight. Is this a known issue?

Is it really back?
last official thing I heard is that it is not working.

It’s there (and definitely wasn’t a few months ago) but as I say, does not persist the data

Mine has just stopped syncing. Just started using it this month and had worked up until today. I tried disconnecting training peaks and reconnecting, but it still didn’t sync today’s workout. I still have the training peaks folder and a few old workouts, but not todays.

First things to check are that the workout is set up properly for syncing. It must be based on %FTP and time, and it needs a unique title that contains only alphanumeric characters, so no punctuation.

How are you naming your workouts? I had a similar issue when I started using TP: workouts synched form the first week, or so (and appeared in the options carousel upon logging in), but then stopped.

What I learned is that Zwift doesn’t technically import the specific TP workout for each day. Instead, it looks at the NAME of the TP workout for the day, and then imports it IF THERE ISNT ALREADY ANOTHER WORKOUT WITH THE. SAME NAME IN YOUR TP FOLDER. (e.g. the first time you have a TP workout called ‘Tempo’ it will get imported to Zwift, and will show up in your carousel; but the next time you have a TP workout called ‘Tempo’ it won’t show up in your carousel (though it might actually be in the folder, if you drill down to that), because you’ve already got a workout called ‘Tempo’.

To avoid this situation, I have started putting the date at the start of each workout (e.g. 2025-02-01: Tempo), and have not had any issues since.

Thanks. That sounds like the issue, I think the workout was named the same as a previous workout. I’ll look to try and make sure they are unique in future and hopefully that will fix it!

Please report back of that fixes your issue. I’m only a sample size of 1, so I’m interested in whether this works for others.

I haven’t needed to sync a workout for a while, but making sure it had a unique (for me) name for the workout worked this morning. Thanks!

Yup. It synchronised the first time after the connection with Withings but it didn’t sync again :expressionless_face:

Zwift Support acknowledged this as a known issue to me. What I find odd is that they withdrew the integration for a while, and then reintroduced it with the same bug

Love seeing the Withings connection re-enabled, but it still does not seem to synchronize after the initial connection. But since it does download my current weight when the connection is set up, it would seem like the issue in with Zwift’s trigger perhaps?

Either way, is there any update for this issue?

The synchronization with Withings does NOT work at all to update the weight in Zwift. Any update on this issue?

@shooj just wondering if there are any updates? It’s been 5+ years so not hopeful

WTF ZWIFT!!!. Start working, or fire these dump developers which can’t fix sync issue - it’s not working for YEARS!!! and still not working. Swift not some open source or free crap - you take serious money - so work better, or loose customers… it’s really annoying

Update April 2026

Hey all - wanted to close the loop on this old thread and let you know the Withings connection issue has been resolved. If you have the connection to Withings enabled (here’s how), it should just work.

If it doesn’t - try removing the connection, then re-enable it. Here’s how.

@shooj

Not available.on the ZCA.

Fond it on Zwift.com, though.

I see it in Companion, though the order of the list differs from the web page

Hi @Cris_To
Thanks for the report. I’m able to repro on an Android ZC v3.81, and have spun up a ticket to find out why.

Others reading along: you can unlink / relink on the Zwift settings web page instead of in Companion.
