Custom event distance; included lead-in in Paris Only?

Anyone have better experience or knowledge here? On my Monday sprint ride I’ve done 30 rides now with custom distance finishes and knew exactly where they would end.

Last night we did Crepe Escape, and based on said 30 custom distance rides, I had set us to finish going into Champs sprint on lap 3; but we ran up… the lead in distance (3km) short.

For comparison I’ve done custom distance finishes recently on other long lead in routes such as Southern Coast Cruise which is 2.67km lead, and London Classique with a 7.5km leadin… both without issues, and finish line where I expected.

So I know this isn’t a weird one-off calculation error.

This has to be a bug, there’s no way it isn’t.
But why is it a bug?

Should I just write a exclusion in my calculator I guess for Paris routes? :sweat_smile:
I’m not sure I expect something like this to get fixed but I feel as though it’s a definite error.

I’m not aware of any specific issues with custom distance routes on the new Paris routes.

I hate that nothing shows distances on our recordings, regardless..
This was on Crepe Escape.

Red line is where we ended up finishing, and can see it from the markers of the XP upgrade and badge for the route.

Green line was my calculated finish line, the end of the champs sprint.
Which is that lead-in distance difference.

But as stated I’ve done plenty of events before where I’ve been bang on with the calculated distances so I know something different is happening here.
