Controlling Intensity of Workouts

I’m old and not into intense workouts. I’m trying to do the Challenges like Sprinting, Endurance and Attacking. I want the 1000xp from these challenges. When I choose Workout and then a route…. The intensity (Watts during the intervals) is way higher than I’m comfortable with. Today I quickly hit the spiral of death.

Do I have any control over the Watts targets?

Does “Trainer Difficulty” have any impact on this?

For greater complexity… I’m riding a true single speed on Snap. So I have no gearing. When climbing gets tough… I sometimes decrease trainer difficulty.

Trainer Difficulty only affects simulation mode, so it does not change workout power targets.

The two things you can do are lower your FTP on your in-game profile, and use the FTP bias adjustments during workouts to lower the intensity.
