Consumption of electricity of a Wahoo Kickr Core

How much electricity / power does the Wahoo Kickr Core need approximately per hour during a workout? I am asking since I am moving to a new apartment and in the cellar there’s no plug. Thus I need to buy a power Generator with sufficient electricity for my Zwift bike with a Wahoo Kickr Core.

Thanks in advance for your help.

Not a lot actually, about 10 - 15 Watts. I’m using a 220 Wh portable power station and it lasts about 20 hours before I have to recharge it.

Thanks Tomasz.

So u say that a Wahoo Kickr Core consumes only about 10-15 Watt per hour during a workout?

Is there anything else to consider specifically regarding the power generator beside enough stored Watt?

Hi there,

before buying my power generator I would like to ask for your advice since I am not 100 % sure if my preferred power generator is compatible with my Wahoo Kickr Core. I know the Wahoo Kickr Core needs about 15 W per hour.

I don’t want to damage my Wahoo Kickr Core by using a wrong power generator.

The power generator I want to buy is the following one:
Anker SOLIX C300 AC/DC

I hope one could give me advice if I can use that power generator without any problems. I’m living in Germany.

Thanks a lot in advance and best regards
Marco

you mean a power accumulator, like a big battery, and not a power generator?
Power generators are mostly driven by a (combustion) engine.

Hi Cris,

thanks. U are right. It’s a power accumulator like the one I posted.

It’s not supported by an engine.

So would the chosen power accumulator fit for my Wahoo Kickr Core?

It might be a better idea to purchase a Tacx Neo, as they are self-powering.
