Hi there, can somebody give me a guide following the recent update? I’ve tried everything to get the devices paired up to the new version, but I’m not having any luck. Zwift will not see or recognise the Kickr in either it’s pairing menu or on the Companion app. Any help would be gratefully received. ![]()

have you rebooted everything already and tried again?
Please also list all the devices you are using, what is running Zwift, what model kickr, bluetooth connection, wifi connection, etc…
Thanks for replying. So I was originally connected over Wi-Fi. After posting I’ve linked the Kickr via Bluetooth, and that now seems to be working. The issue now is with Zwift click. It doesn’t want to connect via Bluetooth, but on Zwift companion, it says that the left one is recognised but the right one isn’t. It also says a firmware update is available, but I’m not sure how I can get this; I’m hoping that it will solve the issue.
on the companion app, there is a menu for “equipment”, you should be able to update the firmware using this menu
Thanks Mike. I’ve managed to get the firmware update for them now via the companion app, but I can’t seem to connect them via Bluetooth unfortunately…I’ve tried to do this through both my laptop and phone, but have had no luck.
what color are the leds? Zwift Click LEDs
They are blue, so fully charged. I’ve managed to connect them to the rest of the set up; but it is a bit variable, sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn’t.
I am having a similar issue after the last update. I am on ATV, Core V2, Zwift Clicks. I pair my Core V2 over wifi and clicks/HRM via BT. I checked and have the latest firmware on Zwift, ATV, Kickr Core V2, and clicks. I ended up “forgetting” the core from my phone and going through the installation process again. It now all works intermittently. It will work for a while and then fail. I think the sequence seems to be that if the ATV “gets no connection” to the internet (I am using Ethernet over powerline due to its location) when it reconnects it has also lost the trainer from the wifi and on trying to repair it simply will not find it again. I specifically want wifi to use race mode. It all worked fine up until the last update. As a reference it works perfectly fine on Rouvy so I am suspecting Zwift and not trainer or some other aspect.
Windows trainer pairing problem after Game Update 1.122
Following the Zwift update Tuesday evening, my Garmin Tacx NEO 2T took an unusually long time to connect to Zwift on Windows. When I opened the pairing screen and searched for devices, the trainer was not detected at all.
I confirmed the trainer was awake and available, closed other apps/devices that could connect to it, power-cycled the trainer, restarted the PC/Zwift, and tried the new pairing options, including disabling Background Pairing. I also checked Windows Bluetooth settings but found no application permission issue.
After repeated attempts, the NEO 2T eventually appeared and connected without any additional change on my end.
This behavior began immediately following Game Update 1.122. Prior to the update, this trainer/PC combination connected normally and reliably.
Since this update introduced the new Background Pairing system, I wanted to report this in case there is a Windows Bluetooth/device-discovery regression associated with the new pairing implementation.
Hardware: Garmin Tacx NEO 2T
Platform: Windows PC
Connection: Bluetooth
Zwift version: 1.122
Symptom: Trainer absent from device search for an extended period, then eventually appeared and paired without intervention.
Hello,
I am having exacly the same problem right now. Afer update my Tacx Neo 2T is not recognised anymore.
Hardware: Garmin Tacx NEO 2T
Platform: Windows PC
Connection: Bluetooth
Zwift version: 1.122
Problem: Trainer cannot be found in pairing screen.
I am having exactly same problem since latest Zwift update mine disconnected 4 times this morning on a workout and while racing in ttt on Thursday. Never had this problem before latest update . I am dreading racing zrl on Tuesday now in case it does while I am racing .
Similar issue. My Wahoo Kickr and Ticker are not detected anymore. Tried rebooting, etc. No luck. Not impressed.
I reviewed your logs starting from September 14th and noticed that your trainer has consistently connected via ANT+ rather than Bluetooth, and is being discovered without issue.
The logs indicate, even prior to game update v1.122, that your computer’s Bluetooth (BLE) module cannot be detected or is disabled.
To help us troubleshoot further, could you also describe the specific issue you are experiencing?
We are looking into this, thank you for the detailed message.
Sorry, I copied the report from text above and forgot to change the connection type. I don’t use Bluetooth, but always connect through ANT+.
I have found a workaround now, if I close Zwift app and reopen it, it finds the trainer.
My kickr bike not pairing since update. I have a kickr bike directly connected (ethernet) to my computer and a HR via ant+. Zwift sees nothing - i have to repeatedly exit and reenter the pairing page and eventually it sees both.
I have also noticed that if i do nothing an leave the pairing screen, it attempts to pair (ie the paired devices briefly appear and show connecting) but fails. This may happen several times but it may pair after a few minutes of repeating this action.
This didn’t occur prior to this week.
Does it change at all if you remove the ANT+ adapter and start over?
Nope. Makes no difference
Following this thread with interest. Seems that after the latest update Zwift has trouble finding my Tacx Neo bike. Sometimes it shows only BLE and I want to use ANT+. This morning had to connect via BLE as no other options and ERG failed to work in a workout plus regardless of what gear I was in or cadence the power consistently dropped to 60w…very frustrating especially as I lead workout groups and also an a Yellow Beacon on Zwift Events (PACK).
Hopefully Zwift will solve this ASAP
Using Windows lap top via fast WifFi and a Tacx ANT+ adapter (with up to date drivers).
I understand that the release coming this week has some fixes for ANT+ so possibly it will improve soon. Some people have resolved pairing issues with 1.122 by doing a clean re-install of the game or removing prefs.xml and knowndevices.xml files
If you want to re-install, read this first: Reinstalling Zwift
