I’m getting “connection disconnected” in my PC for last week or so. Same has my husband who’s riding on Apple tv. Any ideas? Our internet is just fine - no problems while playing Call of Duty
It’s some kind of network problem between you and Zwift’s equipment in the Amazon us-west-2 data center. Could be a local network issue, could be somewhere else between you and the company, could be their systems getting overloaded from peak traffic. Upload a log file from the PC to zwiftalizer.com for analysis, and do the ping test on zwiftalizer. Apple TV doesn’t allow you to access logs so you’ll have to do that on the PC. I would also reboot all the local network equipment you use. In rare situations that can help as well.
me to , what is funny i was watching Shane miller live stream ride beside him, it said i got DC, still beside on his stream, watch his stream know were to put my guy and the watts , 0 riders , but i still see my self on shane miller live stream it so funny, zwift still in beta.
A post was merged into an existing topic: Apple Watch not connecting since latest February 2024 update
:"Hi, since the begining of zwift games, im not able to connect my apple watch as an heart rate… do you know something about that? I tried everything but its not working. Samething for my wife.
Any solutions?
Thanks
Max
It’s broken as of version 1.58. There is no solution but they are planning a change in the next release that might make it work again. Apple Watch has a lot of problems working with Zwift so if you want a trouble-free solution, get a normal HRM.
I have the same problem “connection disconnected”, I notify my Wi-Fi provider, they going to check my connection. Hope they can solve the problem because i quite annoying
I consistently have issues with Zwift and my HRM talking to each other. The pairing screen says HRM is connected but it wavers between 0 bpm and No Signal. My HRM works fine because I can read it on my Wahoo app. I did a test today and discovered when I turned off my Headwind, Zwift didn’t pair with my HRM at all. I suspect therein lies the issue. When I turned the fan back on, Zwift “paired” my HRM but still couldn’t decide if I was dead or there was just no signal. When I start a session like this, the top left of my HUD says “connection failure”
Hi @Laticia_Waclawik, thanks for reaching out via this Zwift forums thread to report the connectivity issues.
I took a look at your logs server and found multiple connectivity alerts and losing connection on your heart rate monitor. Would you please, confirm you have the correct option selected for using Built-in Bluetooth, or Zwift Companion from the icon in the PAIRED DEVICES screen?
2. Turn off BLE on your device and then turn it back on again.
3. Restart Zwift and try pairing again.
If you run into consistent issues, don’t hesitate to Contact Support for more assistance!
Hi Martha I am using the built-in BLE (confirmed on-screen), though I did try connecting via ZCA and HRM wouldn’t pair at all. It appears that if I unplug/replug-in my trainer, “sometimes” I do get a reading from my HRM to display in my zHUD. Then the next time I ride, it reverts back to connected but no signal.
I’ve been trying to figure out the magic combo for getting the readout bc that’s the most inconsistent part of this. After I get one successful pairing/signal readout, I always get the paired but no signal in the following sessions if everything is left plugged in/turned on/logged in. If I have to log into Zwift, it consistently pairs/reads signal. Of course I don’t want to log out and back in every time I Zwift and I am the only person in my household who Zwifts on this setup.
Hi @Laticia_Waclawik, welcome back to Forums. I’m Juan from Zwift. Thanks for continue sharing details about your issue.
I see that you mention that the HRM works fine with the Wahoo app. Would you mind double-checking that this app isn’t trying to steal signal from your HRM? For more info about Bluetooth interference, please check this article.
If the issue persists, please contact us. We will be delighted to help you.
Oh yes, to clarify, I never run the Wahoo app while I Zwift. I only use it when I cannot get Zwift to display my HR during a ride where I need to keep any eye on it, like when climbing
Cheers,
Laticia
Having the same problem since 13th of November. It is the same bug all over again. Apple Watch showing “No signal”.
For 20 euros a month I would expect it to work flawlessly. It is really frustrating. Do better Zwift
Got the connection error. Internet was working. iPad app upto date. Got it going again, had to restart app, lost my progress in the the tour stage. Why doesn’t it put you back in the same event. Fuming.
Hi
I have just changed trainer to the Zwift Ride system, running on Apple TV 4K. Since changing to the new setup I am consistently getting Connection Failure messages, the avatar stops moving on screen and then it will reconnect and start moving again. This happened four times on my most recent ride, which last 30 minutes.
The trainer, controllers, and HRM are connected via the companion app running on a dedicated iOS device with no other BT connections.
Please help as this current setup is making Zwift unusable. I will have to return the equipment and revert back to my Elite Direto setup, which gave little to no
trouble in 5+ years.
If your Direto is an XR or XR-T model, you can update the firmware on it and try that with the Ride frame. Then you could bridge the HRM through the trainer and not pair via Companion. If your Direto is not an XR/XR-T model, firmware may become available later this year but it’s not released yet.
When you are pairing via the Companion app, you need both solid Bluetooth connectivity, and solid WiFi connectivity. If there’s a problem with either one, you will get disconnected. Usually iPhone/iPad are decent for Bluetooth, but signal interference is still possible. Whether the WiFi is an issue depends on your home network and WiFi signal quality.
My trainer setup is unchanged, but since updating to the latest version of Zwift this happens to me on every ride. AppleTV with or without the use of the companion app.
Hi @Honey_Badger2. Jose here from Zwift.
I understand that you are experiencing some connection errors. I will gladly share some tips that may help you resolve the situation:
Optimize Bluetooth Connections: Ensure that your Apple TV 4K is not directly paired with any devices other than the Zwift Companion app. The Companion app acts as a bridge for multiple Bluetooth connections, so avoid pairing devices directly with the Apple TV. Restart your iOS device running the Companion app to refresh its Bluetooth connections.
Check Wi-Fi and Network Stability: A stable Wi-Fi connection is crucial for the Companion app to communicate with Zwift. Ensure your iOS device and Apple TV are connected to the same Wi-Fi network. If possible, use a wired Ethernet connection for your Apple TV to reduce potential network dropouts.
Update Firmware and Apps: Verify that your Zwift system, Apple TV, and Zwift Companion app are all updated to their latest versions. Updates often include fixes for connectivity issues.
Reduce Interference: Bluetooth signals can be disrupted by other devices or physical obstructions. Keep your trainer, iOS device, and Apple TV in close proximity and away from other electronic devices that might cause interference.
Re-Pair Devices: Disconnect all devices from the Companion app and Apple TV, then reconnect them in the following order:
Start the Zwift Companion app on your iOS device
Open Zwift on your Apple TV and ensure it detects the Companion app.
Pair your trainer, controllers, and HRM through the Companion app.
Last but not least, an important test with Another Device. If the issue persists, try running Zwift on a different device (e.g., a computer or tablet) to determine if the problem is specific to the Apple TV setup.
Hope these steps can help you!
Any known issues with kickr v6 over wifi? Since the last two patches my trainer has dropped connection to Zwift. I checked my network and the kickr is still connected to the same access point with max signal strength.
Im not ruling out trainer issues. Cadence has been funky since the patch too. Trainers have to crap the bed sometime, but right after patch day is odd timing
