Cog and Click on Elite Suito

Hi all,

So, I’ve ordered the click and cog at first for the Suito-T and got the Elite cog shown in the picture. As you see in the second pic. It doesn’t fit. Turns out I have an Elite Suito, without the T. I reached out to customer service and they told me the Elite Suito version would work, but now I got it today and it’s the exact same thing, again with a free hub. I can’t figure it out. In the video instructions they sent me via mail it said to have a freehub option and a none freehub option (as in pic 3), but I can’t see a option to order that version of Click and Cog.

Am I doing something wrong or missing something?

The Suito and Suito T are the same trainer, just that the T came with a cassette (I think it was that way round). The Cog appears to be mounted on a freehub already, so you need to remove the existing freehub from the trainer in order to fit the Cog assembly. Possibly you can remove the Cog from its freehub and fit it to the trainer as is, but I don’t know if the one with the Cog is a standard Shimano type or something bespoke.

As Graeme said the only difference between the Suito and Suito T is that one came with a cassette. I have a Suito T and also run the Click and Cog. I choose to leave my cassette on the bike (picked a gear close to the size of the cog) and just use the Click and it works fine for me. If you really want to use the Cog, you will need to remove the free hub from your trainer as suggested.

It’s also possible to install the Cog on the existing freehub after removing it from the freehub that was delivered with it (same method you used to remove the cassette). However your freehub looks pretty chewed up so I would be inclined to pull it off if you can.

Hi,

Thanks for all the tips!

I managed to install it, sort of, but now the chain keeps coming of if I pedal, even when it’s aligned. Secondly it makes a ticking sound when spinning. Should I put in a spacer between cog and QR end?

I can’t tell if the derailleur is properly aligned with the cog. You want the chain in a perfectly straight line between the cog and the upper pulley of the derailleur. The adjustment of the cog is designed to help with that. Another possibility is that the chain is worn which will result in noise or skipping on the cog.
