Climb Portal suggestion: Please change the meter numbers on the ground so they count DOWN (distance remaining in the segment) instead of counting up. It is way more motivating when climbing steep hills! Ride on
On the flip side some people like to see how high up they are compared to the total.
You get a countdown in the HUD showing how much elevation left to do.
As noted by Stuart, the HUD already tells you how much climbing there is remaining.
I think the markers on the road and the HUD covers both bases. This isn’t something that we would be looking to change.
Also.. how about changing the ETA to actual time left till the line.
Rather than doing the necessary mental arithmetic whilst slogging away up the climb?
It’s always going to be an estimate rather than actual as it’ll fluctuate dependant on the power you are putting down.
You’ll notice how the ETA varies as you change gradient. The ETA gets longer on shallow sections then decreases as you hit the steeper bits.
So I goes whether the time counts down or counts up it’ll always be an estimate.
Would it be possible to have the segment numbers appear on the descents?

Yeah, but what I was driving at, was that the ETA could be time left till the top and it will obvs vary according to effort.
At the moment, the ETA requires some mental gymnastics to figure roughly how long left. It currently shows what your finishing time will be.
I use that time doing the mental arithmetic to distract me from the pain of double digit gradients.
