In my case i have not been able to have one ride without the click v2 disconnecting randomly causing a spike in resistance so annoying… firmware is upi to date and batteries are full…any thoughts?
Using which trainer, with the game running on what type of device, and how is the trainer paired?
Thanks, im on a kickr move, paring thru bluetooth to lenovo v14 g3 running windows 11.
There is also a quite bit of glitching, at some point the virtual chainring gets stuck on the big ring and simultaneous pressing of plus and minus just shifts the gears. Then i go to settings to change to sequential and back to sram style and continues working fine for a while
I have also tried the sequential shifting which i experience less glitches but still drops out randomly
OK since your case is not related to that topic about the Kickr V5 (which doesn’t support virtual shifting at all) I moved it to a new topic.
The Kickr MOVE supports pairing via either Bluetooth or WiFi so you do have the option to set up WiFi pairing to see if that works better. You would do that in the Wahoo app, and then in Zwift you would need to check on the pairing screen whether it’s on Bluetooth or WiFi.
You said firmware is up to date but didn’t specify if you meant the trainer firmware, or the firmware in the Zwift controls. You should make sure that both have been done. Trainer firmware is updated in the Wahoo app, and Zwift controls firmware is updated in the Companion app on the Equipment menu.
It is very common for the built-in Bluetooth adapter in a PC laptop to perform badly, so using WiFi pairing would be a way to bypass that.
You also have the option to pair via the Companion app which would use the Bluetooth adapter in your phone, to see if that is more reliable. That would be a good test. Using the Zwift Companion App as a Bridge
In PCs with poor Bluetooth performance, the usual fix is to get a USB Bluetooth dongle and put it on an extension cable if necessary. The TP-Link UB500 is well tested and often solves those issues. The Edimax BT-8500 has the same chipset and could be considered interchangeable.
I dont think the trainer/pairing has any relevance here, I might not have made myself clear..in any case both trainer and controls have current firmware.
The controls are pairing wih the cpu, they just turn off and i have to press the +,- to turn them on again, and they immediately pair again. The hole cycle takes 5 to 10 sec. Ill feel the spike in resistance usually when they reconnect. This happens at least once per ride and at most 20, 30 times in 60 minutes
Support is sending me another pair already, hopefully its just faulty hardware![]()
I hope the new controls help. If you want to see if you’re getting disconnections, upload log files to TrainerDX.com and it will tell you. Click the Share button on the log report and post it here.
