I am attempting to mount my 10 speed specialized bike to the zwift hub but am unable to align the chain due to the rear derailleur being to far outward. I have adjusted the H key on rear derailleur to the fullest extent. I have also attempted downshifting but see no significant movement in the rear derailleur. Any suggestions are appreciated.
That derailleur definitely needs to be shifted left
I agree. Any suggestions on how?
Well if you can’t use the shifter to move it, you can prove whether that’s an adjustment problem by pedaling the bike and pushing on the derailleur to see if it will move. If you’re running up against the low stop screw then backing it out would let you see if that’s what’s going on. If that works then it’s an adjustment problem.
Is it possible that this derailleur the limit screws work backwards to what you expect and you tightened the limit instead of relaxing it, and that’s as far as the derailleur can move now?
Reading your post and looking at the picture that’s my best guess.
No matter how i adjust the rear derailleur using the L and H keys it still isnt close enough
If this tutorial doesn’t help then I suggest taking the bike and trainer to a mechanic for some feedback. Take the rear wheel in as well.
is your shifting cable broken or badly frayed? check at both the front near the hoods and the back near the derailleur
Have you tried just backing both limit screws off and then shifting into the right position?
