Chain jumps SRAM 12-speed FlatTop

Hi, I recently purchased a Wahoo KICKR CORE with Zwift. I’m using a SRAM Rival 12-speed groupset with a flattop chain. However, whenever I put more power into the pedals, the chain starts to skip. The chain seems to be properly aligned.

I know there are some issues with flattop chains, but from what I’ve read, they typically just cause noise. In my case, the chain skips every time I apply more force.

Is there something I might be missing?

I recommend installing an XDR freehub and the appropriate SRAM cassette

Thanks! Do I absolutely need the freehub, or can I just put a SRAM cassette on my kick?
Since the free hub is hard to get at the moment.

Unless something has changed recently, SRAM doesn’t make an AXS road cassette that will fit the Shimano HG freehub on your trainer.

I searched eBay for “wahoo kickr xdr freehub” and I see a few available there.

If a worn chain is used with a new cassette - it can skip. This applies to any chain from any brand. How many miles / km do you have on that chain? It might be time to replace the chain?
