Broken resistance control on JetBlack Volt

Hi,

recently, I have been having issues with my JetBlack Volt trainer. ERG mode is fine, but sim mode is not working correctly. Power readings seem ok (though slightly delayed), but the resistance is all over the place and does not relate to the current gradient in the game at all. Sometimes, the resistance is increased incredibly when going downhill, sometimes after riding on a flat for some time. Takes a lot of the fun out of races and any riding that is not an erg workout.

The logfile is full of the lines below. I am using the Zwift Play controllers with the current firmware. Volt firmware is the most recent one too.

Other software can control the trainer just fine, this only happens on Zwift.

I had the issue with mine a while back … needed the firmware sorting. See if there is an update available.

If not, their support team has always responded really quickly to my questions, suggest you drop them a note.

Thanks for the suggestion, I did. Rolled back the firmware too and calibrated with the JetBlack App. Apparently, the calibration via Zwift might cause issues according to the support. Now its working again

I will try to update to the 3.13 firmware again, as I followed the fix firmware procedure and am currently on 3.0. Is it working for you with that version too?

Not sure which version I am on tbh … my setup is currently out of action while we are getting some work done on the house.
