Bring back the exact watt goals for workouts. Stop the rounding!

Aside from TR, there were multiple other reports upthread (starting about 16 or so days ago) with non TR workouts also being better. We still don’t know why that was. In addition, ramp wattages were changing every 2-3 seconds (instead of every 15), etc. I understand that TR workouts still have this ramp bug though.

Other platforms mentioned above where none of the less-than-ideal quirks occurring include Xert and Intervals. So, including TR, there are 3 known workout generating apps for Zwift where bad stuff doesn’t occur, while Zwift’s own workout generator does? This doesn’t make much sense.

Hi @shooj ,

just canceled my subscription switching over to mywhoosh.

Had a ton of fun with friends and collegues in meetups during winter time. However, in the summer time, mw satisfies my expectations on indoor training in a cheaper way.

Sadly, Zwift lost further favour for me due to suboptimal QA and communication / bug treatment, hunting with vigour missing trees in the graphics while ignoring technical bugs like this one over years - any news or hints for your own community what to do to get rid of the 5W rounding, on the other hand advertised as a big new feature when using trainerroad?

Yep, Zwift behaves rather insidious and deceitful on this.

I use TrainerRoad. When I look at the imported workout, the different increments are shown on the import screen. But when I start the workout, everything is rounded to 5% increments.

Are they ever going to fix this years-old bug?

fwiw, I don’t see this problem in Rouvy. So I’ve been using Rouvy for workouts instead.

Are you using the new Trainerroad Integration Zwift has announced a few weeks earlier? They say that workouts synced from there don’t get rounded.

But if you copy a workout file manually from TR to your workout folder it’ll probably get rounded as well.

It’s a mess.

It’s not a bug, it was intentionally implemented. I’ve asked a couple of times when they plan to fully implement the reversion to proper function and for some reason no one at ZHQ has ever answered the question. Maybe @evan-zwift can fill us in on the timeline?

All of my workouts transferred directly from TR have exact watt targets. I’m not sure what’s going on with your setup, but it sounds like something is going wrong somewhere in the process.

To believe that they do it to increase the value of their partnership with TR is some next level crazy conspiracy theory, and as we had to learn the hard way, every conspiracy theory is true.

[Edit: Anyway, this bug is such a meme that we will miss it, if ever fixed.]

:popcorn::popcorn::popcorn::popcorn: Me and four guys of our training group, having quit Zwift due to Zwifts bad attitude and communication. @shooj, @Rowdy

Given the new training features coming this seems like something that really needs to be fixed for your paying customers. @evan-zwift is this reversion to how it originally worked coming for everyone at some point, or is it permanently reserved for integration partners?

@shooj @evan-zwift

Even with the new Integration Option we still have the issue that Zwift only adjusts the Trainer Output at 15s intervals.

You can see in the below picture that there is a 4 times step up in the 1 minute long step, which is configured as a ramp-up.

@shooj Any news in rocket science?

:man_raising_hand: Greetings from MywhooshWorld

Seems that ZHQ still tries to solve the equasion. Once it’s done and implemented, it’s suspect for Nobel prize.

Given the increased focus on effective training, will the removal of the 5w rounding bug be implemented for all users? Or is it still restricted to workouts brought in through an integration partner?

Flogging a dead horse :sob: No hope anymore with these Admins…!?

Hi @shooj and @evan-zwift I’ve been using the Final Surge Implementation since it’s released and it’s working great so far. But Zwift is still only able to chance something after 15seconds. Is there a reason behind this? Because it used to work and it got changed to the way it is now. I’d still prefer that ramps are real ramps and not 15 second steps.

There is no reason to stick with that kind of restriction, since it used to work before.

The question still remains unanswered why they are not willing to fix the bug, for their own users, in their own software. :sob:
