I recently emailed Zwift and was advised to post my idea on here to see what support I could generate.
For the past 12 months I have used breathwork, initially it was for a way to downregulate and cope with stress and anxiety. Delving deeper though I have uncovered the benefit for general health and also for fitness. I have asked Zwift to develop some sessions based on breathwork both within training sessions for performance and maybe even as separate sessions for recovery and mental health. If you go to Oxygen Advantage website they have a great article about the techniques and also deeper dive into its benefits for cyclists, it won’t let me link the article here for some reason. If there is enough interest I hope Zwift will take up my idea. The breath for me has been the gateway to better physical and mental health, I would love others to see and get the same from it.
