Brand new Zwift Click won't connect

Hi everyone, I have a brand new Wahoo Kickr Core v2 with the Zwift Cog and Zwift Click. I created a new Zwift account for my also new iPad, and my Kickr Core connected immediately. The Zwift Click is also immediately recognized, but when I try to connect, the app says “Connecting” but never actually connects, even though the sensors glow solid blue. I tried going through the Click tutorial and pushing the buttons didn’t do anything. Definitely not connected.

Just downloaded the Zwift app, so it’s not an old version.

Also downloaded the companion app, which also recognized the Kickr Core, but doesn’t recognize the sensors at all.

It’s a new iPad, so there shouldn’t be compatibility issues.

The Click has never been paired via Bluetooth to anything else.

I can’t update the Click firmware because I haven’t succeeded in connecting it even once.

This is a terrible introduction to Zwift. Any suggestions?

Hi, what device is the companion app on? Hopefully not the same iPad you are trying to run Zwift on, use your phone.

Power off the iPad or force close zwift ( not the same as swiping it to the background, it needs to be terminated) then open the companion app.

There should be an “equipment” menu in the companion app and that is where you update the firmware on the click. You should also check to make sure the kickr is updated with the wahoo app.

Thank you. Connecting the sensors in the Companion app on my phone allowed me to finally update the firmware, after which they connected in Zwift on the iPad.
