The Bluetooth connection between my iPhone and kickr core has recently started dropping mid-ride. I don’t know if it’s related, but I think the AirPods Pro’s I use have also been updated recently, so I wonder if they’re interrupting with the connection. If not, has anyone else started seeing connections drop mid-ride in the last couple of weeks? Please help - it means I can’t race as I’m not sure I’ll be able to finish.
Hi @Tom_Webb_AsC,
Welcome to the forums. I understand how it is that being in the middle of the race and then worrying about whether your trainer will stay connected. This is Haziel from Zwift. I will share some steps with you to resolve this.
After reviewing your logs, I did notice several disconnections via Bluetooth.
I’d recommend starting with this article: BLE and ANT+ Interference Troubleshooting Tips. It walks through common causes of mid-ride drops (things like competing Bluetooth signals from headphones, phones, or even nearby devices) and gives practical steps to reduce interference.
If the issue persists, another option is to try using the Zwift Companion App as a Bridge. This can help to stabilize the connection between your trainer and Zwift, especially if your iPhone is juggling multiple Bluetooth devices like AirPods.
I’ll share both articles with you, and if the issue continues after trying these steps, please don’t hesitate to contact us directly so we can dig deeper.
