I used Zwift until the day before, and the next morning it stopped connecting via Bluetooth: the devices are visible, but the app says “no signal” even though it detects the Van Rysel device. I also updated the app and reinstalled everything, but it still doesn’t work. Is a new update from the manufacturer needed because it’s a bug, or is it my issue?
What do you run the game on? Did you unplug the trainer and plug it back in again?
If your trainer manufacturer offers a firmware update I would probably install it, but it may not be a trainer problem. It is too early to decide on the cause.
I have similar issues on PC since a recent Zwift update, devices connect via Bluetooth but with a No Signal message and no numbers. The devices will work fine with an iPad but I prefer a bigger screen for riding.
What can you tell me about the Bluetooth adapter in your PC? Which trainer is it, are you pairing Zwift controls, and do you have anything else paired such as headphones?
As a workaround you could also try pairing via the companion app and see if results differ.
I tried two different Bluetooth adaptors in different ports and on a 5 metre lead, but still no Bluetooth devices were found. Then tried connecting via the App but got a Bluetooth Access Denied message on the phone, gave up and went back to using Ant+. I was about 5 minutes into a race when a message appeared on the PC’s display stating that changing power devices mid race was not allowed and I was out of the race. Somehow mid ride the Bluetooth started working again for all devices and has done since then. Very puzzled.
