BLE bridge for Android

Why does the Google play store description say your Android application can send BLE sensor data to the Zwift application when on your website you clearly state this is only available of iOS?  Wasted a ton of time trying to figure out how to get it to work, very annoying and please don’t advertise falsely!

Hi Andy,

The Android application DOES do this. It was just added to this new version of the Android app (1.5). We’ll update our website.

Thanks!

The option to turn on the bluetooth sensors is NOT in the latest version of the mobile app. I have uninstalled and reinstalled the app and it is not there.

Hi Paul,

Are you referring to the settings option in the app? This is only applicable to the iOS version of the app due Apple’s requirements (this is noted by the “iOS Only” in the BLE instructions). For the Android app, you don’t need to enable anything - the app will do it automatically.

Hi Zwift Team,

Why not allowing the BLE sensors to connect to the laptop/desktop instead of going through the mobile phones / tablets?

Probably can have some sort of screen showing what are the paired devices on the Zwift software on IOS or android device so that the users are aware there are connectivity to the sensors.
