We’ve recently made an update to clear up a common point of confusion at the start of a ride. Cyclists on Zwift without active subscriptions will see this message before dropping into an activity:
Before this update, your avatar would drop into a world but would not move, leading to confusion that a hardware connection or something else might be the cause.

- Runners can Zwift without an active subscription. See the Running FAQ for details.
- New Zwifters may still ride without a subscription during their initial 14 day free trial period. See the Free Trial FAQ for details.
