Auto-join Robopacer

Hi,

I’m new to Zwift and am struggling to find a solution to the following.

When i’m on a route a robopacer rides past, the game auto joins the robopacer group and I lose all my route data - very very annoying. I can’t get the sugar something route complete because the robopacer always wipes my route data.

I have the Zwift companion app on my phone but no option comes up to not join the group. Can i turn off auto-join the robopacer group?

I don’t think you actually join the Robopacer group. If you just keep on riding, and don’t make any manual turns, you’ll stay on your route, and the Robopacer group will continue on theirs.

When a pacer comes by your route completion info goes away but you’re still on the route. If you let them go up the road or ride away from them your route completion info will return eventually. It is annoying when you don’t want that but it doesn’t interfere with completing the route. I wish I could dismiss it so it doesn’t take over the HUD.

Thanks guys, I will give it another try and keep riding. Very annoying it takes over the HUD and looks like you’ve joined the group, it should ask if you want to join and go from there.

It’s like that because you can join every robo pacer group on the fly. From my experience as soon as the group will turn away from your current route you and while you are still within it you will get a notification on the crossroad with an option to follow the group or stay on your route, which will be also preselected, so that you can decide by yourself to stay with a robo pacer.

Is Sugar Cookie not locked until Level 10? If you’re going off route, that might be a factor.
