I can deal with the 80’s graphics for a day or 2 but has anyone else had trouble with power,cadence and speed? Tried to ride a workout last night and had to quit because these things were so far out of alignment. Thought it might be related to the joke but not sure.

No, the April Fools should have no effect on your sensors pairing. Are you on the latest game build?
It downloaded an update yesterday before my ride. Not sure if it could be effected by internet traffic in my neighborhood. The strange thing was that both the Whaoo trainer (bluetooth) and the Cadence (Ant+) were way off and fluctuating. I will try again tonight and post results good or bad.
