Add more classic American Hillclimbs!

Hello there, Some of us train at altitude. My Zwift setup is at home in Colorado, at an elevation of 7,000 feet ASL. Riding at altitude, of course, is a handicap when riding in some of the organized events, as we have a harder time with intensity. Our strength is in endurance and hillclimbing. But I have a suggestion that might help level the playing field a bit. Could you please add several classic hillclimbs to your offerings: I’m thinking of Ironhorse (Durango to Silverton, CO, Mt. Lemmon (Tucson, Arizona), Triple Bypass (central Colorado), and the Queen of them all, Mount Evans (now called Blue Sky Mountain, which climbs 7000’ from Idaho Springs, Colorado to the summit at over 14,000’!). Thank you!

How about the Mt. Washington Auto Road!
It’s one of the hardest hill-climbs in the world.
Could easily be added to the Climb Portal.
~7.6 miles
~4,630 ft of elevation gain
~12% average gradient
Hits ~22% at the top.
No flat sections.

It’s awesome!

Sounds great!

I was trying to put some climbs in that are high elevation … for us Coloradoans who train at altitude! But this climb sounds awesome

Yeah like Hogpen here in Georgia.

Man that’ll piss off some folks, check out the max grade (which is lower than what my Garmin HU was saying on the climb itself):

This climb is part of 6Gaps for those familiar.

I wouldn’t be shocked if some of those made it into the Climb Portal. Since altitude doesn’t exist in Zwift it would be purely elevation gained though.

My top pick would be Refugio Road

Highway 39 to Crystal Lake or to the Angeles Crest is also a fun one

I have done 3Gap many times, 6Gap once, in 2021, the first time they reversed the upper loop, so we rode Hogpen “short side”. Shorter distance, steeper grade.
