A Kit for the Tron Upgrade Completion

I get keeping the Tron aesthetic. But, honestly, it’s going to be so anti-climatic to get this upgrade. After upgrading three other Zwift bikes, which is way harder than doing any of your tours, it seems like an oversight not to give us something to show we finished doing it. All we get is the bike we already have that’s a bit faster? No one can tell if you did it? I think you should get your designers working on a kit, socks, gloves, or a futuristic aero helmet.

I working my way there as well, and definitely agree with you! But, can’t wait to get back on my Tron bike again!

The kit could be a level 10 upgrade after 16,000km riding. :exploding_head:

I hope that would never be the case! Just 8000km is long enough.

Is your Tron at level 5?

I don’t think so. I’m about to start the last upgrade of the third Zwift bike.

It’s just too much effort for the reward. I have 3 bikes finished. Tt, race, and climb. Since then I worked on my academy bike and the Steel bike and one other tt bike.

The Dogma 5 upgrade cost 750K drops and gains one second on a climb like Ventoux. Not happening.

I agree with your basic point, though I don’t know a kit is the correct solution.

The Tron doesn’t look any different at full level, and the performance gains compared to much easier bikes to level make the thousands of km to upgrade it seem a bit of a waste of time. I’m currently working on unlocking Tier 4 for my Tron, but I’m not exactly sure why, ha.

My preference would be that they give a bit more customization to the look of the Tron bike at full level (since some people will want to use their own team kit - or favorite kit for whatever reason - along with whatever bike they unlock fully). So something like more color scheme options, two tone color selection, etc would be one idea, but they could add some new functionality to it as well at the highest level - that does not impact performance, but shows in a subtle way that it’s upgraded. Maybe you can choose to have it change color based on your power zone, or current heart rate zone, or just select colors that aren’t available to others etc, maybe a different posture, maybe the ability to sit-up in the draft, maybe a more interesting idle animation etc. Maybe similar to Level 100 socks you can also give out +2 XP on kudos while riding the tron etc…

Anyhow, yeah I think they should do ‘something’ t help folks showcase a level 5 Tron, I think whatever they do should not provide a performance gain, but something special that they could otherwise not do with the Tron.

Red Tron!

How about a jersey that says “I spent 10 million for this bike”?

Yeah, or: “I rode 8,000 km, and all I got was this lousy shirt.”

I propose that upgrading the Tron “de-nerfs” it and returns it to it’s prior status as the best all-rounder in game. For each upgrade stage, you get a little of that performance back. Fully upgraded, it’s back to being the best race bike in game, unless you’re going up the Alpe.

Please no. I am just as happy now we see less of them. Its a futuristic frame that belongs in The Jetsons and not in Zwift if it was up to me.

Maybe it could have maintenance requirements costing 250,000 drops per month to keep it at full speed, if not, then it becomes slower. Only fitting for the advanced tech of that machine.

While the simple non-halo bikes don’t have this requirement.

I saw a sign in New York that is a ‘Rent-a-Halo’ bike shop.
