4k at 60 fps via Displayport to HDMI 2.0

I recently acquired a Hisense 4K 55 inch TV with HDMI 2.0 inputs. My graphics card NVIDIA GTX770 can output 4K at 30 fps over HDMI. And it worked well in most cases. But crossing the wooden bridge in Witopia the frame refresh was less than ideal to ensure a smooth flow of the planks.

Then I remembered my card can output 4K at 60 FPS over display port.

Now the TV does not have a display port input and most TV don’t. Many monitors do but they are way more expansive and 55 inch screens are rare.

Any way I did some googling and discovered a few display port to HDMI converters. But alas many of them only converted to 30 FPS. Until I stumbled across this on Amazon de

I’ve been using it for a week and often see FPS rates of high 50’s in Zwift at 4K resolution. And the planks now flow smooth under me

Note some newer high end graphics cards can output 4k at 60 FPS over HDMI 2.0 so check first.
