Hi all, in the past two days, my wife and I have each exactly once observed a +2 XP message appear, but have no idea what caused it. We each were freeriding in a new Zwift Unlocked route.
Does this happen when a level-100 rider gives a thumbs-up (back) to us? Some other cause?
It’s possible that other +2 XP messages arrived and disappeared before we noticed them, but they do seem to be something new, and searching this forum did not find any other posts about them.

You’re partially correct - a level 100 rider is giving you the 2XP bonus through a ride on. However, they also have to be wearing the confetti socks that are earned when you reach level 100.
Yep, if they’re in-game and wearing confetti socks (lvl100 unlock)

So if it was not a route that gives double XP, it would have been just +1 XP?
No, I wasnt sure if you meant 2x (as in two times xp) or just two xp
